Aretha Franklin

Spring 2005

Aretha was one of the original four young doelings to come to OakHaven Farm Goat Sanctuary in 2005 before it was actually a sanctuary. She is shy and, until recently, not keen on being handled. But she is mellowing in her old age and will gladly accept a face scratch in exchange for a few pieces of banana. Aretha lost a baby in 2012. The baby was stillborn following an emergency c-section operation. Aretha mourned her baby for weeks.
