Maybelle and her sister, Fancy, were born on a local farm. Their mother was very old and past her ability to care for babies. She died shortly after they were born. Maybelle is one of our "bottle babies"and came here at just a few days old.

Maybelle holds the distinction of being the only mother of babies actually born on the farm. Ira and Charlie are her two bucklings. Either Townes or Gram is the father, we don't actually know.

Maybelle was a dedicated mother and she continues to thrive with a gentle spirit.
