Waylon was our guardian angel. He was half Great Pyrenees and half Anatolian Shepherd and weighed in at 165 lbs. Waylon was born on a goat farm and spent his entire life protecting goats. He trained under Pearl and took over guardian duties when she became ill. Waylon took his job very seriously and was a watchful and patient protector. He loved belly rubs and head scratches.

Once he arrived at OakHaven Farm Goat Sanctuary, Waylon only left the farm 3 times in more than 10 years for medical care. He passed peacefully in August 2023 after discovery of an incurable cancerous mass in his liver. In the ten years Waylon was our protector, we never lost a goat to a predator. He was a gentle giant.
